The Bear has stood on Cowbridge High Street for centuries, working as a coaching inn where horses were changed on the mail run between Cardiff and Swansea. It’s Grade II listed, though much altered over the years, with old fireplaces among the surviving fabric. Still a hotel, with two bars serving real ale, and the obvious base for a night in Cowbridge.
