The Fox and Hounds sits next to St Cadoc’s church in Llancarfan, whose medieval wall paintings — among them one of the largest St George and the Dragon scenes in any British church — were uncovered from under layers of whitewash in 2008. The pub is a beamed country inn with a covered terrace, well placed for a meal after seeing them.
