Porthkerry Country Park
Local highlightPorthkerry spreads through a sheltered wooded valley near Barry, its meadows crossed by the great Porthkerry Viaduct — a sixteen-arch railway bridge striding overhead. Paths lead down through the trees to a pebble beach on the Bristol Channel, with rock pools at low tide. There’s a car park, café and pitch-and-putt, and the small St Curig’s church sits at the edge. Barry station is about a kilometre away.
