In the single-street village of Wilmington, right on the South Downs Way, the Long Man Inn is a walkers’ pub with a handful of rooms — handy for a night either side of a Downs walk. It was the Giant’s Rest until 2023, then renamed for the Long Man hill figure cut into the slope above. Food runs through the day. Berwick station is about 3km to the north-west.
