Jules and Steve Horrell cook for just thirty guests at one long table in an old cow barn on their Somerset smallholding, much of it over an outdoor fire, from a mostly homegrown seasonal harvest topped up by farming and foraging friends. They describe it as being like dinner at a friend’s house, and after 25 years in hospitality they do it with polish. It makes a destination out of a day near Sparkford, easily paired with a walk up to the Iron Age ramparts of Cadbury Castle to the south-east.
