A plank-and-muntin oak screen inside the Church House Inn is reckoned to date from the late 13th century, when the building housed the masons raising Harberton’s church next door. It’s one of the oldest pub sites in Devon, Grade II* listed, with thick stone walls, low beams and old settles. Open for food and drink; Totnes station is about 3km to the north-east.
