The Church House Inn overlooks the cricket field at Marldon, a 15th-century pub that Devon Life readers have voted the county’s best country pub. It was the first Devon pub to make the Michelin Pub Guide, and does food and rooms. Handy for Torbay and the thatched village of Cockington just to the east; Paignton station is about 4km away.
