The best-known name in Devon wine, and the new home of Sharpham: in 2022 the winery moved three miles downriver to this south-facing bowl above the Dart near Stoke Gabriel. Self-guided walks lead through the vines, tastings run at the cellar door, and the Circa restaurant sits above the valley. Totnes is the nearest town; Paignton station is about 5km north-east.
