The Angel sits at Pontneddfechan, where Waterfall Country begins — the wooded gorges of the Nedd and Mellte, threaded with paths to Sgwd Gwladys and the Four Falls. It’s a walkers’ inn, well placed for a boots-off pint after a day among the falls. Treherbert station is about 10km to the south-east.
