On the valley slopes near Tintern, this three-acre garden of lawns, orchard, meadow and woodland doubles as an outdoor gallery: a changing show of sculpture is set among the planting each summer, much of it for sale. Come in late winter instead for the snowdrops, which the garden is known for. Chepstow station is about 7km south.
