Planted in 1979, Parva Farm is one of the oldest commercial vineyards in Wales, on a steep south-facing slope above Tintern and its abbey — quite possibly the same ground the abbey’s monks once worked for vines. It makes wine, sparkling and mead, with a shop and self-guided walks up through the rows. Chepstow station is about 7km south.
