Rouken Glen is a big Victorian park on Glasgow’s southern edge, at Giffnock, with a wooded glen and a waterfall tumbling through it, plus a walled garden and a boating pond. It’s a day-out park rather than a formal garden, free and open daily, and gets busy at weekends. Whitecraigs station is only about 0.8km away.
