The Horse Shoe Bar hides down Drury Street, just off Buchanan Street, and its island counter is the reason to seek it out: at 104 feet, it’s said to be the longest continuous bar in Britain. A category A-listed Victorian institution, cheap and cheerful, famous for its bargain lunches and the upstairs karaoke. Glasgow Central is barely two minutes away.
