If you’re on Glasgow Green, WEST brews German-style lager inside the extraordinary Templeton Building, the old carpet factory modelled on the Doge’s Palace in Venice. “Glaswegian heart, German head” is the line, and beer is made to the German purity law. There’s a big beerhall doing food and drink under one roof, plus brewery tours. Open to the public; Glasgow Central is about a ten-minute walk to the west.
