St Vincent Street Church is Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson’s temple-fronted masterpiece of 1857–59, a Greek Revival kirk raised on a towering stone podium above the city-centre street. It’s a category A-listed landmark, but no longer in regular use since the congregation left in 2021, so for now you can generally only admire it from the outside, with occasional access on Glasgow’s Doors Open Days. Charing Cross station is a few minutes’ walk away.
