Come for the water: the gardens at Plas Cadnant run along the wooded valley of the River Cadnant, with waterfalls tumbling through the trees and a restored walled garden above. Laid out in the picturesque style in the early 19th century, they were lost to neglect and brought back over recent decades, and now open to visitors with a tea room. They lie in the country between Menai Bridge and Beaumaris. The grander Plas Newydd is just along the strait.
