The parish church of Beaumaris is a Grade I-listed medieval building in the middle of the town. Its best-known contents is the stone coffin of Joan, wife of Llywelyn the Great, which found its way here long after her burial elsewhere. Open to visitors, and an easy stop if you’re already seeing the castle. Penmon Priory is a short drive on round the coast.
