Penmynydd was the home of the Tudurs of Penmynydd, the Anglesey family from which the royal House of Tudor sprang. Their church, St Gredifael’s, holds an alabaster tomb carved with the effigy of Goronwy ap Tudur, an ancestor of Henry VII. It’s an unassuming medieval church for so grand a connection, open to visitors. Llanfairpwll station is about 3.5km to the south.
