Hazlehead is a large park on Aberdeen’s western edge, given over to rose gardens, azalea and heather beds, and woodland walks. Kids tend to make straight for the surviving privet maze. Free and open all year, with plenty of room to roam. It’s a few kilometres out from the centre, so easiest reached by bus or car.
