A seven-acre waterside garden on the Culford Stream and River Lark in the Breckland, at West Stow. Bernard Tickner made it over more than fifty years from rough scrub, then gave it to Perennial, the horticultural charity, in 2013. Lilies, marginal planting and light woodland run down to the millpond. Open on set days from spring to autumn; paid entry. Bury St Edmunds station is about 7km to the south-east.
