Wyken is a working estate near Stanton, north-east of Bury St Edmunds, with a seven-acre vineyard planted in 1988 on a south-facing slope. Around it are the gardens of an Elizabethan-style hall, a country store and a Saturday farmers’ market, and the Leaping Hare restaurant in an old barn. Free to wander, though the gardens charge a small entry.
