Saxby’s Cider is pressed on a family farm at Farndish, near the Bedfordshire border, from apples grown in its own orchard of several thousand trees. Phil Saxby was an arable farmer who planted the trees and made his first cider in 2011; the fruit is milled and pressed on site each autumn. It’s sold at the farm gate and at tastings and events, so check ahead before turning up. Wellingborough station is about 4km away.
