One of England’s oldest vineyards, Chilford Hall was first planted in 1972 on the free-draining chalk near Linton, and now runs to some 18 acres of vines. The estate offers guided tours and tastings at its cellar door; check ahead for opening days. Whittlesford Parkway station is the nearest, about 8km west.
