A ringwork castle once stood here — today it survives as earthworks in Suffolk. It is one of three ringwork castles the Albion Guide charts in the county. For more of the same, Eye Castle and Great Ashfield Castle are close by. The nearest railway station is Diss, 6.5 km to the north-east.
