St Mary’s pairs an 11th-century round tower with a splendid double-hammerbeam roof, its two tiers of angels a mix of medieval originals and Victorian copies — one of only four such roofs in Norfolk. A well-kept village church in the south of the county, open access. Diss, with its station, lies about 7km south-west.
