Bay of Laig is a broad sweep of sand below the crofting township of Cleadale, on the west side of Eigg, with the Rum Cuillin filling the view across the water. It’s a short walk down from Cleadale, and Eigg itself comes by CalMac ferry from Mallaig or Arisaig. The rockier shore just to the north is worth a poke about at low tide.
