Cathedral Cave is a tall, echoing sea cave on Eigg’s south shore, reached over the rocks at low tide from Galmisdale — the same walk passes Massacre Cave, where the island’s people died sheltering during a 16th-century clan raid. Time it with the tide and wear boots that cope with slippery rock. Eigg comes by CalMac ferry from Mallaig or Arisaig.
