Point of Sleat Lighthouse
Local highlightA small white lighthouse marking the southern tip of Skye, at the very end of the Sleat peninsula. Reaching it is half the appeal: a moorland track of about 3.5km from the road end at Aird of Sleat, past a hidden beach, with views out to Rum and Eigg. There’s no road to the point, so it’s a walk out and back of a couple of hours. Worth it for the sense of land’s end.
