Tarskavaig is a scattered crofting township on the west coast of Sleat, reached by a single-track road that loops off the A851. It’s worth the detour for the view: across the water the whole line of the Cuillin rises up, often looking their best seen from this side of the island. A quiet corner of Skye that most visitors miss.
