Silver sands with views to Rum.
Camusdarach is the white-sand beach that played the village of Ferness in Bill Forsyth’s 1983 film Local Hero, its dune-backed turquoise water standing in for a quiet stretch of Scottish coast. It’s a short walk from a small car park off the A830 south of Morar, with Morar station barely 2km away. Every bit as dazzling in the flesh as it looks on screen.
