Prince's Cairn
Local highlightApproximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.
A simple roadside cairn on Loch nan Uamh marks where Bonnie Prince Charlie is said to have sailed away from Scotland for the last time in September 1746, some months after Culloden. It’s on the A830 east of Arisaig, with a lay-by to pull into. Small, but a poignant full stop to the whole Jacobite story.
