Westdean is a tiny flint-and-thatch hamlet tucked below Friston Forest, with a Norman church and a medieval flint rectory. A short path leads down to the Cuckmere and on towards the Seven Sisters, so walkers pass through often. Seaford is the nearest station, about 4km to the west.
