Slindon is a National Trust estate village of flint and brick, wrapped in beech woods on the Downs — part of the Trust’s largest traditional estate in the South Downs. It became known for a long-running autumn pumpkin display in the village, and for bluebell woods in spring. Barnham station is about 4km south.
