Arundel is a small market town wrapped into a bend of the Arun, under a great castle and a Victorian Catholic cathedral. The steep streets are full of antique shops and tea rooms, and the Wetland Centre sits just north along the river. The riverside Black Rabbit is a walk upstream at Offham. The station is a short walk south-east, under a kilometre from the centre.
