Sarratt strings out along one of the longest greens in the county, lined with old cottages, in the Chess valley on the Hertfordshire–Buckinghamshire edge. Its flint church, Holy Cross, stands apart from the village down by the river, a short walk along the lane. Good walking country in every direction.
