Thatched cottages and farmhouses follow the Nadder through Dinton, west of Salisbury. On the village edge the National Trust holds Philipps House, a Greek-columned mansion of 1814-17 by Jeffry Wyatville, in its own parkland. The house is tenanted and closed to visitors, but Dinton Park is open to walk.
