Come in late April or early May for the bluebells: Badby Wood, an ancient wood on the Fawsley estate above the village, carpets deep blue for a few weeks and draws walkers from all over. The village itself is stone and thatch around two greens, with a 14th-century church. The Knightley Way, the county’s first waymarked long-distance path, runs through on its way from Badby down to Greens Norton.
