Come for the loop: a flat five-mile track circles this large reservoir near Rugby, well used by walkers, cyclists and runners. Severn Trent’s 240-hectare water also draws sailors, anglers and birdwatchers, with a short climb up Hensborough Hill for a view over the whole sheet. Open access, with pay-and-display parking at the entrance.
