Coombe Abbey Park wraps 500 acres of parkland around a 12th-century Cistercian abbey, its grounds landscaped by Capability Brown in the 1770s. The abbey building is now a hotel, but the park itself is free to walk into, with a lake, formal gardens, woodland and a play area — only the car park is charged. Combe Pool sits right by the entrance, and it’s a short run on to Ryton Pools too. Coventry Arena station is about 6.5km away.
