The Glasshouse is the sweeping glass-and-steel concert hall on the Gateshead riverbank, designed by Norman Foster and opened in 2004 as Sage Gateshead before its 2023 renaming. Its curved shell holds two main auditoria and is home to the Royal Northern Sinfonia, with a programme spanning classical, folk and pop. You can wander into the glass-roofed foyer for free and enjoy the river view even without a ticket. It stands beside BALTIC and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.

Full name: The Glasshouse International Centre for Music
