Head to the Free Trade Inn for the best beer-garden view in Newcastle: a straight line down the Tyne with the bridges stacked up one behind the other. It’s a plain, unpretentious Ouseburn boozer, graffiti and all, with a rotating range of cask and craft beer. Grab a bench outside on a good evening. Manors Metro is about a kilometre back into town.
