Solomon’s Temple is a squat castellated tower on Grin Low, the hill above Buxton. The present tower was built in 1896 on top of a Bronze Age burial mound, replacing an earlier folly raised by a local man, and its internal stair gives a wide view over the town and surrounding moors. A steady climb up through Grin Low woods gets you there; Buxton station is about 2km off.
