Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.

Fourteen Locks is a steep flight on the Monmouthshire Canal at Rogerstone, climbing the hillside in a short distance through a chain of locks, ponds and side pounds — an ambitious piece of 18th-century canal engineering. The towpath is open for walking past the flight, and there’s a free visitor centre above it. Pye Corner station sits just south, barely 1km off.
