Carn Ingli rises straight above Newport, its rocky crown wrapped in the ramparts of an Iron Age hillfort. The name means Mount of Angels, tied to the story of St Brynach, who is said to have kept company with angels up here. It’s open-access moorland — a steep but short climb from the town for one of the finest views over the Preseli coast.
