Samphire Hoe is a nature park at the foot of Shakespeare Cliff, made in the 1990s from the chalk marl dug out to build the Channel Tunnel. There’s a sea-wall walk, fishing off the front and wildflower meadows behind. You reach it through a tunnel down under the cliff, with pay-and-display parking at the bottom. Dover Priory station is about 3km to the north-east.
