The Stagg was the first pub in Britain to win a Michelin star, back in 2001, and Titley has been a byword for Herefordshire food ever since. It’s a dining pub with rooms — some above the bar, more at the Old Vicarage down the lane — set in quiet border country north-west of Leominster. Knighton station is about 13km north.
