Two farming families near Lyonshall started Penrhos in 2018 with a practical question: what to do with the surplus fruit off their land. The answer was a distillery in a converted barn, where wonky raspberries and other estate crops that wouldn’t sell as fruit go into small-batch gin instead. They were also among the first UK distillers to swap glass for recycled aluminium bottles. Tours and tastings run at the farm, but book ahead rather than turning up.
