On the seafront at Mousehole, the Old Coastguard is a relaxed dining inn with a lawn of palms running down toward the water and a view across the bay to St Michael’s Mount. It is the sister to the Gurnard’s Head over on the north coast, with the same easy-going food and rooms above. Penzance and its station are about 4km round the bay.
