Come in spring for the flowering: Trewidden is a sheltered woodland garden west of Penzance, planted through the late 1800s with camellias, magnolias and rhododendrons, and known for a sunken pit of giant tree ferns growing in a worked-out tin streamwork. It’s open through the spring season. Penzance is the nearest town and station, about 4km east.
