Painted ochre and standing alone on the wild coast road between St Ives and Zennor, the Gurnard’s Head is a landmark you can pick out from a distance — useful, as there is little else out here. It is a well-known dining pub, run by the Inkin brothers, who also have the Old Coastguard at Mousehole. Good for lunch off the coast path; St Ives station is about 9km east.
